An expo-week on six subjects started its work

Today, in Almaty, the Kazakhstan Exhibition Company Iteca, together with its international partners, opened six expo-events. The exhibitions occupy several pavilions of the Atakent Exhibition Centre. The unified exhibition presents 436 on-site and off-site exhibitors from 30 countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, USA, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic, Sri Lanka and South Korea. Seven countries present their National stands.

The exhibitions are opened by: Ruslan Sharipov - President of the Union of poultry breeders of Kazakhstan, Nelli Salikhanova - Member of the Farmers' Union of Kazakhstan, Vlodzhimezh KUROVSKI - First secretary of Poland Embassy in Kazakhstan and Yuri Borodikhin - Director of Iteca Company.

The week of exhibitions includes six specialised events which are already famous brands in the region:

WorldFood Kazakhstan 2013 - an international food industry exhibition, with a 16 year reputation, with an established level of event organisation and permanent exhibitors. Many countries of Europe are annually represented by their national stands. New features at WorldFood Kazakhstan this year are: 1. a separate category for bakery companies; 2.) the organisation of a special event as part of the exhibition – the Retail Centre, which is a platform for B2B meetings between representatives of supermarket and retail distribution chains 3.) a professional food tasting competition with 132 product entries, 4.) for the first time the expanded business programme of events will take part in two seminar halls.
ArgoWorld Kazakhstan 2013 – an exhibition on the subject of Agriculture, which continues to expand its presentation of livestock and poultry;

  • KazUpack 2013 – an exhibiting platform for all types of packaging: paper, flexible, tin, glass, plastic containers, film, labelling and PET from 11 countries. Warehouse Equipment will have its own separate section;
  • HOREX 2013 – an exhibition uniting hoteliers, restaurateurs, cooks, culinary tradesmen and baristas. In 2013 the exhibition will again take place in Almaty with its varied business programme. Besides of presentations and workshops, five specialised professional master classes will take part within the frame of the exhibition, and diploma-certificates will be awarded to their participants regarding the results;
  • CleanExpo Central Asia is a unique project for Kazakhstan, showcasing at its platform all services, required almost in each industry, demonstrating basic mainstreams in cleaning industry development. According to many years of tradition the latest cleaning innovations is combined with training sessions and seminars run by world famous industry specialists, with competitions also being held.
  • FranchExpo Central Asia 2013 – an annual regional franchising event. This year the exhibition sparked interest of franchisers from the Great Britain, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. About 60 delegates will take part in the work of international forum. The subject of the forum: "Franchising – trends in the development of business, education and innovation". Co-organizer of the event is the "Franchising Union" Consortium.

It is important to note, that many countries annually back up their companies to participate in these exhibitions. Also this year, visitors will see innovations from companies at National stands of Hungary, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and South Korea.

The origin of exhibitors has been broadened by three new countries: companies from Iran, Latvia and Sri Lanka will exhibit for the first time. The latter will bring exquisite varieties of tea (at the the exhibitors are direct manufactures and suppliers of tea).

The Bakery Kazakhstan sector gains steam. A new feature at WorldFood Kazakhstan is the provision of a separate pavilion for bakery exhibitors. More than 15 suppliers of bakery equipment, ingredients, raw materials, accessories, and also companies, providing bakery industry consulting from 5 countries (Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, Czech Republic) will be presented here. The national stand of the Czech Republic will mainly present companies that manufacture bakery equipment.

Retail Centre platform is situated in one of workshop rooms. Direct meetings between suppliers of food products and representatives of retail chains and supermarkets will be held by appointment on the 6th of November Each participant will hold from 20 to 35 meetings. Companies such as: «Magnum Cash&Carry» (Almaty), "Metro Cash & Carry» (Almaty), «GREEN Mart» (Almaty), Kurmysh-Trade (Ust-Kamenogorsk), Joint Kazakh German Enterprise INTERFOOD (Almaty),Timirbayev (Semipalatinsk), Tea Coffee Garden (Almaty), AAS-FOOD (Almaty) and Bulk Trading Company Plus (Kostanay) will be taking part in Retail Centre.

For the first time the record number of food products will be presented during the traditional food products and beverages professional competition "Best Product WorldFood Kazakhstan 2013". This year, professional jury will be given on 132 products. 35 categories have been determined, in which winners will be defined by the number of points. Jury will consist of 4 specialists, presided over by Yuri Sinyavsky, the vice-president of the Kazakh Academy of Nutrition. Results will be post on the site of the event.

The exhibitors at AgroWorld Kazakhstan originate from 14 countries. Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic are presented for the first time. Only poultry breeding equipment is presented by eight countries: Azerbaijan, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey and Ukraine. One of the latests news of the expo-event is a participation of the company with the gardening equipment. Everything for grain processing will be proposed by companies from Lithuania and Belarus. The Feed additives and premixes sector was expanded. This sector event is represented by both national and foreign companies from: Belgium, Belarus, China, Russia and the Czech Republic.

KazUpack presents the Warehouse equipment in separate section. The origin of KazUpack exhibitors widens every year: exhibitors from Belarus, Germany, Italy, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Czech Republic will display their products.

The HOREX Almaty's peculiarity will be a wide and varied program with emphasis on training. 126 delegates from Atyrau, Karaganda, Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Bishkek and Aktobe have registered for five master-classes. The famous Russian company Restteam will host classes on: "Motivation. how to inspire personnel", "Business Hotel organisation", "Kitchen management – five rules of the kitchen", "Sales management in a restaurant – increasing the average bill" and "Organisation of a buffet table in a hotel." Another well know Russian Company Complex-Bar will run a range of special events focused on bar and restaurant craft.

One of the tendencies of the HOREX exhibition is the presentation of companies that produce IT software for and restaurant businesses. Meetings of hoteliers and housekeepers groups from Kazakhstan will be held under the chairmanship of the KAGIR (Kazakh Association of Hotels and Restaurants) trade association. The KAGIR association will also hold the Best Chambermaid 2013 competition

The innovations of the CleanExpo Central Asia exhibitors are: new generation of Russian VEGA irons and mangles, Swiss professional extra thin steam irons and an odourless and colourless disinfecting and cleaning agent. Among the Kazakhstani participants of CleanExpo Central Asia it is important to notice the representative offices of the largest manufactures of cleaning equipment, such as: Miele, Krauzer, Asia-Vyazma, Ost-Pharm, Sobek-Service. The Best Ironing Specialist 2013 competition, sponsored by Alfa Equip, was held on the first day of the exhibition. Horex Training Group also sponsors one of workshop rooms.

Among the famous guests of the CleanExpo Central Asia exhibition, which will host the training sessions, it is important to notice the leading Italian expert Alberti Angelo, owner of a dry cleaning chain with the same name. Alberti Angelo is a manufacture of agents for specialised dry-cleaning, aqua-cleaning of clothes and textile, and also Luxury class exclusive branded things.

Franchisers from the Great Britain, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan take part in FranchExpo Central Asia exhibition. Remarkable, that one of the participants of the exhibition is the Office of the United States Trade Representative. The exhibiting franchisers include: AJOUR brand (men's and women's underwear, swimwear, clothing for the home), the MAFIA chain of restaurants (restaurant business), Baskin Robbins ice cream cafes, the SkillSet chain of English language schools, a business courier services and logistics franchise and many others.

About 60 delegates will take part in the work of the International Franchising Forum, which will take place on November 5, within the frame of FranchExpo Central Asia exhibition. 14 speakers are included in the programme. Forum is also officially supported by the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC and the Research Institute of Financial and Banking Management at the Ryskulov Kazakh University of Economics. Reports will be made by representatives of government bodies and associations, legal and consulting companies and by the franchisers themselves

"The time in which we live is a time of changes, a time of possibilities, a time of action! -It demands from us the understanding of the new, dynamic decision making, composure and responsibility" – this statement by one of the exhibitors at the last WorldFood Kazakhstan exhibition is the main motto of all six exhibitions held in Almaty from the 5th to the 8th of November 2013.
